Hangman ME Game

This is a simple Hangman game that uses DHTML and JavaScript.

The words all relate directly to Middle Earth, the world created by JRR Tolkien in "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. No "special letters" are used; for example, é becomes e, û becomes u. Hyphenated words are written as compound words, without the hyphen.

• Click on a blue letter to guess that letter.
• If your guess is correct, the letter turns green and you're closer to winning.
• If your guess is wrong, the letter turns red and you're closer to hanging.
• You're allowed a total of seven incorrect guesses.

The orginal script for the game was an example from Teach Yourself DHTML in 24 Hours, demonstrated on the examples page of the JavaScript Workshop. I made a number of changes in the stylesheet, HTML, and text, but left the Javascript alone.
